Stress manifests... 653 days ago Quote('2019277','2019277','5','1671')">Report spamIts true...your inner feelings, inner struggles will creep out onto the surface and manifest in different ways in our material/physical world. Whether it be phobias, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, drug abuse, mental illness--which includes eating disorders. It can be one of these or a combination of two or more in which case your life is complete hell. I'm not saying one isnt bad, but multiple is just brutal. I suffer from an eating disorder, body dysmorphic disorder which accompanies EDs, depersonalization episodes (infrequently), flashbacks (PTSD), mild OCD. All together this makes my life this thing that can be quite explosive if not managed knowingly. I am a stronger person now and more able to stand up to this laundry list of issues thanks to a couple years of therapy, a few hospitalizations and a trip to hell and back. I have a treatment team composed of a nutritionist (Michele R. Vivas) who is absolutely an amazing person and very knowledgeble in her field. If you have any issues of your own, she'd be the go-to person. I have a therapist (Jill Rodgers-Quaye) who is also considered top for ED treatment and addcition work; she's pretty mild and nonconfrontational unless you direct her to be more stern which I did. I have a doctor--Dr. Sue Knight who is very likable and personable and doesnt pressure me or scold me. With the help of these people, and my own experience I am standing strong in this race to save myself from..well.....myself. I'm gonna miss Michele while I'm gone; she's about the only part of California that I'll miss...Its been a long day--tomorrow-will be EVEN LONGER...SFSU orientation = 8 hours long....Stresssss..... lets hope it doesnt manifest. (tomorrow)
